CLIENT Private
PROJECT Residential
DATE July 2025
LOCATION Toorak, Melbourne
Ek Onkar
Nestled in Melbourne’s Toorak, Brahman Perera’s Ek Onkar project assimilates a selection of furniture, lighting, and art to reflect the client’s vibrancy. Tasked with complementing the home’s minimalist architectural framework, this project introduces a rich tapestry of color and texture that breathes life into the clean lines of the residence.
The spatial planning negotiates the need for retreat and connection, with fluid transitions between private zones and expansive communal spaces across three levels, while layering in intricate lighting and artworks to create a dialogue between scale and subtlety. Colour was used as a narrative device, with bold yet harmonised palettes guiding a visual journey through distinct but interconnected spaces. Furniture and lighting were selected not just for their form, but for how they engage the architecture and elevate everyday experience.
